Navy started the fourth quarter trailing the Black Knights by 3. The Mids were able to drive into Army territory, but were forced to punt when facing a fourth and six on the Army 49 yard line.
Army drove down the field in what looked like a drive that would seal the game for the Black Knights. Eric Osteen missed a 37 yard field goal wide left and the Mids still have hope.
Freshman Keenan Reynolds led his team down the field to give Navy the lead 17-13. Reynolds used his passing ability to complete two passes for 59 yards, the biggest a 49 yard pass to Brandon Turner to the Army 8 yard line.
Reynolds used his legs on the next play to score and give Navy the lead and also force Army into needing a touchdown on their final drive.
The Black Knights took over on their own 17 with 4:41 left in the game. Trent Steelman, Raymond Maples, and Larry Dixon led Army down the field with a powerful running game. Steelman kept the Navy defense honest by completing two passes to Chevaughn Lawrence for 25 yards.
Army appeared to be heading for a game winning touchdown with a 1st and 10 at the Navy 14 yard line. Dixon fumbled a hand off and Navy's Barry Dabney recovered the ball sealing the 11th straight win over Army for the Mids.
Keenan Reynolds was named the games MVP. Navy will travel to San Diego to face Arizona State in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on December 29.
